Legal notice

Our company takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We want you to be aware of which data we store, the circumstances under which we store it and how we subsequently use it. When handling and processing personal data, we comply with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the revised German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

Usage data
You are not required to divulge any personal data in order to use our website. Each time you access one of our pages, data about your visit to the site is stored in a log file. The log files and usage statistics generated are made available to us by our web host. Because this data is not associated with any particular person, we are unable to determine which user has retrieved which data. Disclosure of this data to third parties does not take place. We wish to point out that there may be gaps in security when data is transmitted via the internet, for example when communicating via e-mail. It is not possible to guarantee end-to-end protection of data against access by third parties.

Contact information
Some of our offers and services are tailored to the individual and therefore require the entry of personal details. If this is the case, we will only use the data voluntarily provided by you – for example via e-mail – for the purpose that you intended, e.g. for us to contact you. Disclosure of this data to third parties does not take place.

The rights of data subjects
Pursuant to Article 15 et seq of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), data subjects have the right to information about data held on them, to the correction, deletion and restriction of such data and to object to the processing of their data.

Furthermore, Article 13 Section 2(c) gives data subjects the right to withdraw consent to all future processing of their personal data if such processing falls under Article 6 Section 1(a) or Article 9 Section 2(a) of the GDPR. The legality of processing carried out on the basis of consent prior to revocation is not affected.
However, revocation as well as non-provision of the required data usually results in failure to fulfil the purpose for which the data is collected. Should you wish to exercise your right in this regard, you must do so in writing. Please contact us by e-mail at info@marketing.dresden.de.

Deletion of personal data
Your personal data will be deleted when it has served its original purpose and we are under no legal obligation (e.g. statutory retention period) to retain it. The provisions set out in Article 17 of the GDPR in conjunction with Section 35 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) apply. If we are unable to delete data for legal, contractual, commercial or tax-related reasons, you may request that the processing of your data be restricted. Should you wish to exercise your right in this regard, you must do so in writing.

The right of data subjects to data portability
The company will ensure the right to data portability in accordance with Article 20 of the GDPR. Data subjects have the right to receive a copy of their personal data in a standard machine-readable file format.

Cookie policy and Google Analytics
In order to provide services to our visitors, improve the experience of the visit, better understand our visitors and establish which settings apply to the visitor (country, language, etc), we use cookies.
We also use cookies to provide us with overall data, i.e. traffic and interaction on the website, trends and statistics. In this way, we can create a better website experience and improved tools for navigating the site. We use Google Analytics to do this.

Cookies are small information files that are sent to your computer via our website while you are navigating your way around it. These work in combination with the content of the website itself in order to capture and store information. For example, they are used to store and process the site’s session ID.
You can configure your computer to notify you every time a cookie is sent and/or to disable this function.
You can do this via your browser settings. There are slight differences between browsers, so check your browser’s help menu to see how to configure and customise cookie settings. If you disable cookies, you may not have access to some features that make the site more efficient, and some of our services will no longer work properly.
You may also prevent the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) being shared with Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).
More information can be found at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en or http://www.google.com/intl/en/analytics/privacyoverview.html (general information about Google Analytics and Data Protection).
On this website, Google Analytics code is supplemented by “gat._anonymizeIp();” in order to protect IP addresses through anonymisation (so-called IP masking).

Server log files
The provider of these pages automatically collects and saves information as so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of server request

This data cannot be assigned to any specific person. This data is not merged with data from other sources. We reserve the right to review this data if we become aware of any specific indications of unlawful usage.
Links to other websites
Our homepage contains links to other websites. We have no influence over the compliance of the provider or operator of the pages with data protection regulations. Please take note of the disclaimer of liability.

Google Maps
We embed maps from the Google Maps service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The data that is processed may include IP addresses and the geographical location of users, but this is not collected without their consent (usually as part of the settings on their mobile devices). This data may be processed in the USA. Privacy Policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/ Opt-out: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated.

OpenStreetMap
We embed maps from the OpenStreetMap service (https://www.openstreetmap.de). These are supplied by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF) on the basis of the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL). Privacy Policy: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.
To the best of our knowledge, OpenStreetMap processes users’ data solely for the purpose of displaying map features and caching the selected settings. The data that is processed may include IP addresses and the geographical location of users, but this is not collected without their consent (usually as part of the settings on their mobile devices).
This data may be processed in the USA. For more information, see the OpenStreetMap privacy policy: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.

Online presence in social media
We maintain an online presence within social networks and platforms in order to communicate with customers, prospects and users active on those sites and to inform them about our services. By logging into such networks and platforms, users are bound by the terms and conditions and the data processing guidelines of the respective operators.
Unless otherwise stated in our Privacy Policy, we process users’ data to the extent that they communicate with us via social networks and platforms, e.g. by posting comments on our online pages or by messaging us.

Embedding of services and content provided by third parties
On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. the analysis, optimisation and efficient operation of our online offer as permitted by Article 6 para 1(f) of the GDPR), we make use of third-party content or service offerings by integrating their content and services, e.g. video materials or fonts (collectively referred to as ‘content’).
This always presupposes that the third-party providers of this content have access to the IP address of the user, since without it, they would not be able to send such content to the user’s browser. Access to the user’s IP address is therefore required for the display of such content. We endeavour to include only content from providers who use the IP address solely for the delivery of that content. Third parties may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also referred to as ‘web beacons’) for statistical or marketing purposes. Pixel tags can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. This pseudonymised information may also be stored in cookies on the user’s device and may include (but is not limited to) technical information about the browser and operating system, web pages from which the user was referred, time and length of visit, as well as other information regarding the use of our online offer, plus similar information from other sources.

Vimeo
We may from time to time embed videos from the Vimeo platform of Vimeo Inc., Attention: Legal Department, 555 West 18th Street New York, New York 10011, USA. Privacy Policy: https://vimeo.com/privacy. We draw your attention to the fact that Vimeo may use Google Analytics and refer you to the relevant privacy policy (https://www.google.com/policies/privacy) as well as opt-out settings for Google Analytics (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de) and Google’s data usage settings for marketing purposes (https://adssettings.google.com/).

YouTube
We embed videos from the YouTube platform of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Privacy Policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/,
Opt-out: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated.

Use of Facebook social plugins
On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. the analysis, optimisation and efficient operation of our online offer as permitted by Article 6 para 1(f) of the GDPR), we make use of the social plugins on the social network of facebook.com (Facebook), which is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. The plugins may contain interaction elements or content (e.g. videos, graphics or text) and can be recognised by the presence of one of the Facebook logos (white ‘f’ on a blue square, a Like button or a thumbs-up icon) or may even be marked as ‘Facebook social plugin’. A list and display of Facebook social plugins can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Framework, which provides a guarantee of compliance with European data protection legislation (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active).
When a user invokes a feature of this online offering that includes such a plugin, his/her device establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. Facebook then transmits the content of the plugin directly to the user’s device and from here to the online offer. User profiles may then be created from the data processed. We therefore have no influence over the extent of the data that Facebook collects by means of this plugin, and we inform users about this to the best of our knowledge.
Integration of the plugins allows Facebook to receive the information that a user has accessed the corresponding page of our online offer. If the user is logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to his/her Facebook account. If users interact with the plugins, e.g. by clicking on the Like button or leaving a comment, this information is transmitted from their device directly to Facebook and stored there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, there is still the possibility that Facebook will identify and store his/her IP address. According to Facebook, IP addresses in Germany are stored only in an anonymised form.
The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of this data by Facebook as well as the rights of users and privacy settings can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/
Users who are Facebook members and do not want Facebook to collect data about them via this online offer and link it to their membership data stored on Facebook should log out of Facebook and delete their cookies before using our online offer. Other settings and opt-outs from the use of data for advertising purposes are possible within the Facebook profile settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads or via the US-American site at http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU site at http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. The settings are platform independent, i.e. they work on all devices, including desktop computers and mobile terminals.
